Requirements for Dental Hygenist?

what sort of schooling must you complete in order to become a dental hygenist?

Requirements for Dental Hygenist?
Check with your local community colleges. They will either have a program or be able to point you in the direction of a school that does. Two year program with additional training after you get you certificate- depending on where you live. You can also search your states licensing criteria on the web. They will list the colleges with programs in you state. Also check with the ADA they can link you to resources in your state.
Reply:You have to go through a two-year Dental Hygiene program at a Dental College. I'm not sure how many undergraduate hours you have to have before you can apply for a program.

Check with the college you want to attend.
Reply:I agree with Kiki- your local community college will have their requirements (whether the program is offered through them or another school). Some schools have their requirements posted on the internet and you can look to see what you have or need to take. They will also list important numbers and people that you can contact too. If you can talk to someone who has gone through the classes already they can give you some pointers.

Good Luck and Good Choice.
