I know that later after I take one these courses i want to either be a dental hygenist or radiographer tech. but which one do you think would benifit me more in long run for the careers I want?
Dental or medical assistant....?
If I were you, I would take the one that interests you the most right now.
The reason being that the two choices you have listed are both programs that have specific training and education associated with them. While some schools mandate that you need to be a dental assistant prior to entering the dental hygiene program, other do not.
Both dental hygiene and rad tech's need the basics which can be taken on a part-time basis until you are ready to commit to a fulltime schooling regiment. Most AS medical programs require you to attend on a full-time/daytime basis. This is to ensure that you are following the states guidelines for both coursework and clinical work under supervision.
You might start out as a dental assistant and decide that you do not like it and go back to school for rad tech. Don't let your interim career choice necessarily dictate what your future educational goals will be. Your interests might change based on your experience.
I know people that have graduated from both programs that you have mentioned and some have worked as assistants prior to going to school others have not; but they all succeed.
Good Luck.
Reply:probably dental ,you can probably open your own shop.
