What are the conditions?
You CANT practice as a Hygienist without a License. So yes, you'll have to take the test and then get Registered in whatever state you decide to live in. Different states have different test. You cant take the California Board, and practice in New York, for example. Each state has their own testing.
Reply:thank gil Report It

Reply:Once you decide which state to live in you should contact their board of dentistry to see what their rules are. Each state has different laws. You will probably have to take some sort of registration test, most likely both written and clinical.
Reply:You would have to take the US National Boards which are written, and in the state you plan to practice in, you would have to take clinical state or regional boards. You can probably get more information on the website of the American Dental Hygienists' Association: http://www.adha.org/ I'm a dental hygienist, but it's been years since I took the tests so check the website.

Just for fun, here are some dental offices we've visited in our travels: http://www.mousetourstravels.com/dental-...

Good luck! and happy travels,

Reply:TO PRACTICE DENTISTRY AS WELL AS TO PRACTICE HYGIENE IN THE US A PERSON NEEDS TO BE LICENSED.

TO BECOME LICENSED FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY YOU HAVE TO CHECK WITH THE SCHOOL'S ADMINISTRATOR TO SEE WHAT CURRICULUM IS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A DEGREE - REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A LICENSE.

AS A POTENTIAL HYGIENIST IN THE US YOU MAY EXPECT TO BE PAID FROM $28-40, DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU PRACTICE.
