More dentists in America are female. Don't ask me why, I'd hate to be a dentist.
Reply:Because it is considered, by most men, to be a job that is either beneath them - they'd rather be a Dentist - or, it's too "Eww, gross..."





Translation..."Women's Work."





There is also a similar reason as to why *most* nurses are female. It is a job that is considered as a "Woman's Job", and the Male Ego generally does not easily take the kind of bruising involved when what your job discussions come up, and he has a "Woman's" job.
