How long does one have to study to become a dental hygenist in the USA ?
state college in my town has a 2 yr program,, cost around 6K per year for tuition,, they make mid 30's here
Reply:I am not sure but i think it is 2 years? i am not really sure!
Reply:A Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene is the basic education required for a dental hygienist. Thus, the basic 4 year college degree.

They make around US$20.00 per hour starting as a new grad in most southern states. I'm sure that in the North East and in the West, the starting income is higher.
Reply:You can have either an associates or bachelors degree. You only need an associates to practice dental hygienist. You plan to work for a corporation or instruct, then you would need a bachelors or masters. I live in the South and the average pay is $35 an hour.
