i just dont think it would be the easiest thing to do even though thats what i love so should it stay a hobby or should i follow my dream
Should i follow my dream of being a singer pro im having a baby or should i begin dental hygenist classes?
Take the classes. You can always sing on the side, but right now you need to able able to support your kid.
Reply:Follow your dreams, but make sure you can still live comfortably while getting there.
Reply:Go to school..
audition for american idol next season...thats you best bet..
Make sure you tell them a sob story so you'll get picked!
Reply:Go with the realistic route... dental hygenist classes. :)
Reply:I think first maybe just concentrate on raising your baby until it's in school and then go chasing dreams or whatever.
Reply:IF your good be a higenist for now then try out for american idol if your good it will be a hit
Reply:you can begin dental hygenist classes, it will give you a full time job and a constant salary... work for a while, save up some, then pursue your dream....
Reply:Go for your dreams girl, ask strangers if your a good singer. And if they say yes, keep on going!!
Reply:I say follow your dream. The last thing you want is to look back and realize that you made a mistake. Also, there's a risk that you would blame the child, because your choice is predicated on the timing of your baby. Singing is hard work, but as much of it happens at home (the hours of practise etc) it's a very good profession if you're trying to stay home with your baby as much as possible. You might want to do the math and see if the dental program takes more time away from your family life. Best of luck in whatever you choose.
Reply:Dreams don't buy diapers.
Keep it as a hobby and in the meantime find a way to support your child. Hobbies can later become careers but at this moment, the main priority should be becoming the greatest mother you can be.
Reply:I think that you should be a dental hygienist and then on the weekend sing that way you could do both
Reply:Honest i think you should take the classes and follow your dreams you can do both.If you go for your dream and dont make it then you dont have a fall back plan and then your pretty much screwed.
so i think you should take the classes and then focusing on following your dream its never to late to do that.
Reply:None of them will help much in the delivery room.
Go for the steady career first so you have a fall-back position if the singing doesnt take off. You have to be good at singing AND lucky to make it as a singer.
Good luck
Reply:your a mother now, and more than ever you need to be with you baby. If you follow your dream to be a singer, then you will also leave your baby behind. This isn't the mother you want to be. Now that your a mother a more realistic dream would be a dental hygenist, and this a very good goal to achieve. Maybe you can do some singing on the side, and like you siad as a hobby. Good luck !
Reply:You sound like the girl who was let go on 'Girlicious' last night! Go on and be a dental hygienist...the monies good and perks will sure beat you getting doors slammed in your face and rejected constantly since you obviously weren't good enough even for this cheesy show!
Reply:Always follow your dreams.
You will need a job to support the effort to getting to your dream, so begin the classes.
Do both.
Reply:Oh my god, follow your dream. Think about it you will live you're entire life thinking "what if" and "if I only". And you're having a baby so what! There are plently of women out there who do AMAZING things and have children when they are young. I'm assuming you're younger and if you are go for it! You really have to realize though that it will be extremely difficult baby or no baby. So you need to know for sure that you are good. And just in the shower okay good but amazing at what you do. And then you have to work you're little *** off. If you are really serious and passionate about it then it could happen for you. Other things you have to think about is moving down to LA. I live in the city and am persuing a career in acting. It's hard knocks down here but worth it when you know you're striving for what you really want. Also I dont know how pregnant you are or how old you are or what your finacial situation is but depending on these things you could think of adoption. There is nothing wrong with knowing that someone else might have more time and focus to raise a child. It wouldnt make you a bad person. And if you go through and dont make it professionally then at least you'll know you did everything you could and tried your best and THAT will alone, be fullfilling. Good luck to you.
Reply:I am a single mom too and I was faced with the same situation. I went to college. Dropped out and pursued my dreams only to realize that I need to put food on the table. I went to school to be a massage therapist, ended up liking it and did it for a few years. Now that my son is 8yrs old I decided to go back to school to pursue my dream of writing.
You can still follow your dreams. For now begin classes for some stability and make singing your hobby.
I used to think I was wasting time and I need to do this now (pursue dreams) or I will be behind but the reality is you will just make it harder for yourself and your child if you don't do the responsible thing first.
