What are the requirements for dental hygenist/ dentist?

Hello, I was wondering what's the difference with these two and I am looking forward to becoming either one, well I hope. Now I want to know which one would be better suit me and what are the requirements to becoming a dentist or a dental hygenist, and the disadvantage and advantages from experience. And I also want to know the difference between working hours. I also want to know what requirements do I NEED in order to become either one and how long I have to study in college to finish it. or university?

What are the requirements for dental hygenist/ dentist?
Lets just say that what your asking is someone to tell you the difference between a licensed Medical Doctor and an RN Nurse. Education, income and a multitude of issues differ between those including the Dentist and the Hygienist. For a really in depth comparison write any University or College that teaches those disciplines and ask for a copy of their curriculum requirements. I'm guessing that the two main points of information your seeking is Income and work loads. The Dentist will make about four to five times what the Hygienist

does, and the Hygienist will work shorter hours and not be on call for emergency services. A Dentist will spend up to six years getting his degree and the Hygienist can get her "License" in three or less, depending on the school.
