My teet look to be turning a greyish black color?

I have had braces for 1 month but have had a fixed appliance in since dec. the back tooth on one side which is banded seems to be turning a greyish black color along with the toot beside it. none of my other teeth are changing. I just had a cleaning wed and my dental hygenist did not notice anything so I guess it has changed in the last couple of days. I am scare that my teeth may be decaying and will halt my ortho treatment. Has anyone else expierenced this problem.

That sounds like a textbook dead tooth. The brace probably put too much pressure on the afflicted tooth occluding it's apex so that blood couldn't in or out of it causing the pulp to die. It should stay in but dead teeth are usually more bittle than live ones in the long run.
Reply:Sounds like the nerve is dead in the tooth or teeth.
Reply:hello.did you no that teet means nipples on cats.lol
Reply:call yr dentist/ tell him/ and let look at again/then again i am not trying to be funny/but /u may see something in mirror /that is not there/that happens to me and my son big time/ good luck
Reply:thought you were talking about your breasts- didn't want to answer that one.

I have seen this a lot in people with braces. One woman has permanent discoloration.

I refused braces as a kid- what is the obsession with perfection in this world.
