pillow i am a dental hygenist and i told him that the tooth fairy would find it and bring it to him to keep plz help what do i do
My son swallowed his first loose tooth yesterday but hes sad because he wanted to hold it and put it under his
Why did you tell him the fairy would bring it back?
You'll have to get a tooth from work now and put it under his pillow!!
Reply:My son lost his first tooth after it came out. We told him that we would write a note and put it in a little plastic baggy and that the tooth fairy would take the note in place of the tooth. I was skeptical on how it would go, but he believed us.
Reply:Heve him draw a picture of what he thinks the tooth looked like %26amp; put that under his pillow.
Reply:Tell him the tooth fairy will still come even if he dosnt put it under his pillow, thats what i was always told and i was fine with it, i always still had the money under my pillow!
Good Luck
Reply:I did this when I was a kid. My parents had me make a tooth out of construction paper and I put that under my pillow instead.
Reply:Start searching thru the poo - or snag one from some kid at work.
Reply:have him write a note to the tooh fairy saying that he swallowed it on acciedent. and tell him that the tooth faiy will still leave him something
Reply:This happened to me as well with my first son. I helped him write a note to the tooth fairy explaining what happened. He was much better the next morning when she arrived and left him a pack of gum and a dollar.
Reply:My son put his first loose tooth in a small dixie cup and lost it. He was very upset about it but eventually got over it. Just tell him he has a lot more teeth to lose and to be extra careful with the next one.
Reply:Everytime I swallowed a tooth, my mom would tell me to write a letter to the tooth fairy and put that under my pillow, with a picture of a tooth and my signature to show I was being honest. The tooth fairy would come everytime I did that.
Reply:Unless you're willing to go dig for the tooth, I would tell him it's not possible to get the tooth back. I don't think you should have told him that a fairy could get his tooth back to him. I don't advise lying to him by presenting him with someone else's tooth. Not very hygenic and he WILL find out one day that you lied to him.
Reply:You do know that it will come back out don't you? That might not be what you were looking for, though.
Reply:Holy mackerel, Andy!!! You can have him poo in a potty and look for it. Or, I like your idea that the Tooth Fairy will find it. Good Luck!!
Reply:Well, the only way to "find it" is to go through his feces- as that is the only way out for the tooth.
Next time, don't make promises that you cannot follow through on...we learned this the hard way. Our son has Aspergers Syndrome and if you promise something, you'd better follow-through.
Have him draw a picture of the tooth for the tooth fairy so the fairy will know he lost it...when he goes to bed, put some money under his pillow. Tell him the tooth fairy left it for him- and next time, he can hold the tooth.
Good luck!
Reply:Oh, man, lying to kids, or anyone, is never a good idea. Maybe you could tell him to leave a note under his pillow, telling the tooth fairy what happened, but something better happen soon, because kids get stressed over this stuff.
Reply:My daughter just lost her two bottom teeth i can air mail you one? lol
you can always pick it out of his bowels if its that important to him..but being a dental hygenist it shouldnt be too diffcult to come across a fake tooth that looked like his real tooth..tell him you can "fool" the tooth fairy or just act as if it was his real tooth and not tell him its a fake one
Reply:Honestly, have him not be so concerned with the fantasy of a tooth fairy.
But seriously, if your a dental hygenist just bring home a tooth from work. Tell him you got one there so that the fairy would still come and visit him. He'll be delighted not only because he'll get money still, but also because it shows you went out of your way to help him out.
Either way, don't just do nothing. He might become determined and try to knock another tooth out!
Reply:i would, in your best tooth fairy writing, write him a letter saying that she knows what has happened and that she is giving him the money any ways cuz he is a good boy and has waited so long for this to happen. and if you really want to find it let him tell you when hes gone #2 and see if its in there. i know its gross but the things a mother does for her children are sometimes gross. and it is all out of love. but if it were me and it happened to my sons i would just write them a letter. hope i have helped!!
Reply:telling him the toothfairy would bring it to him means you need to go fishing in the poddy for it i really like the first answer with the note thats a good clean idea
Reply:You probably shouldn't have lied about the tooth fairy finding it and bringing it to him when you know it's never going to be found.
Reply:Tell him to write a little note and stick it under his pillow telling the tooth fairy that he did indeed loose his tooth but he swallowed it, that way the tooth fairy gets a note knowing where the tooth went and she will still leave him something under his pillow!
Good Luck
Reply:Oh this one is going to be fun.... I do not have kids yet but little ones are so fun to play with their imagination. Here is my idea...
Tell your son you need his help to find a small pillow and write a note before bed time tonight .
Find a small pillow, a thin decorative pillow for example. Do not tell him why just yet, let him get curious.
Have him watch you write a note with a crayon, on the note put "Tooth in tummy".
Grab a piece of tape.
Have your son get into bed, his curiosity may make him get ready faster (bonus for you) and put the pillow on his tummy (make sure it is not heavy or too big). Tape the note to the pillow. Then say... your tooth is under the pillow, and there is a note. The tooth fairy will understand, I am pretty sure she has X-ray vision. By morning take the note and leave a coin (or whatever you usually do) under the little pillow! Awww so cute!
Reply:Tell him that the tooth fairy is sad but that the Whinny the Pooh fairy is happy and will give him TWICE the money the tooth fairy would have. But ONLY.....I repeat ONLY, with the first tooth does this happen.
Reply:When my niece lost her first tooth, it was on Thanksgiving and the house was crowded. Somehow it got misplaced... thankfully a few people got pictures on their digital cameras and phones. The "story" was that they sent the tooth fairy pictures of her holding the tooth to prove, and a text saying what happened. Then we found a 24hour pharmacy still open and used one of those Kodak picture machines to print one to put under the pillow.
Maybe you could print a picture of him with the tooth... then take a pen (sharpie) and mark the picture w/ an arrow pointing to the tooth that was lost. Also write the tooth fairy a note.
ALTERNATIVE: one of my cousins swallowed his first tooth while asleep (thank God he didn't choke), but he was soooo upset, that my uncle actually searched his next few bowel movements and found it!! I'd stick w/ technology here... but you do what you need to do :)
